Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including backhoes, graders, and street sweepers
- Install and repair traffic control signs and signals
- Assist with stormwater management and flood prevention projects
- Conduct inspections of public infrastructure and document conditions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C Driver's License
- Minimum 2 years of experience in public works or construction
- Certification in traffic control flagging (TCIP) preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in outdoor environments
- Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment operation skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
