Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including graders, loaders, and jackhammers safely
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during inclement weather
- Conduct site inspections and document maintenance activities
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Maintain accurate work records and equipment logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 3 years experience in public works or construction maintenance
- Valid California Class C driver's license
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor environments
- Knowledge of municipal infrastructure standards
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to pass background check and physical examination
