Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy municipal equipment, including dump trucks, backhoes, and pavement breakers.
- Perform road maintenance tasks, including pothole repair, pavement patching, and striping.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during winter months.
- Collect and dispose of construction debris and municipal waste according to safety regulations.
- Inspect public infrastructure, such as signs, guardrails, and sidewalks, to identify maintenance needs.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to pass a post-offer medical examination and drug screen.
- Basic knowledge of construction and maintenance tools and equipment.
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Strong physical stamina required to lift heavy objects and work on feet for extended periods.
