Responsibilities
- Perform routine collection and disposal of solid waste, recycling, and yard waste.
- Operate heavy municipal vehicles, including refuse trucks and compactors, following strict safety protocols.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Maintain accurate logs and reports regarding route efficiency and service interruptions.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal safety regulations and environmental standards.
Qualifications
- Valid California Class C Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to lift and carry loads weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and perform physical labor.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a diverse team.
