Responsibilities
- Manage infrastructure maintenance projects including roads, bridges, and public facilities
- Develop and implement departmental budgets exceeding $5M annually
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations (OSHA, EPA, NEBRA)
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers and field technicians
- Oversee contract administration with private vendors
- Prepare quarterly progress reports for city council review
- Coordinate emergency response during weather-related incidents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Public Administration
- 5+ years of municipal infrastructure management experience
- Valid Nebraska Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Proven budget management for public works projects
- Strong knowledge of ADA and federal infrastructure standards
- Experience with GIS mapping and infrastructure software
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain Secret Security clearance
