Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee municipal infrastructure projects including road repairs, bridge maintenance, and water system upgrades
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project compliance
- Prepare detailed project plans, budgets, and timelines using city-specific software systems
- Monitor project progress and prepare monthly reports for city council review
- Ensure adherence to OSHA safety standards and environmental regulations
- Liaise with community stakeholders to address project-related concerns
- Conduct post-project evaluations and implement improvement recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience in government or public sector
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification required
- Proven experience with municipal infrastructure projects and permitting processes
- Advanced proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, and GIS systems
- Strong knowledge of federal/state procurement regulations (FAR, MCL)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Michigan driver's license
