Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate municipal infrastructure projects including road maintenance, drainage systems, and public facilities
- Conduct field inspections and technical assessments to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Prepare detailed project reports and documentation for regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop cost-effective maintenance solutions
- Oversee contractor activities and ensure adherence to project specifications
- Respond to public inquiries regarding infrastructure concerns and service requests
- Implement sustainable practices in urban development and resource management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in municipal infrastructure or public works
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean driving record
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and infrastructure management software
- Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards and Virginia building codes
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement
- Ability to obtain FEMA certification within 6 months of hire
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background check
