Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain municipal vehicles and equipment (snowplows, graders, etc.)
- Perform infrastructure repairs on roads, sidewalks, and storm drains
- Respond to emergency public works incidents during all weather conditions
- Conduct regular inspections of parks, playgrounds, and public facilities
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Enforce city ordinances related to public property maintenance
- Document work activities using digital reporting systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- 2+ years of public works or heavy equipment operation experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic proficiency with GIS mapping and maintenance software
- Pass background check and drug screening
