Responsibilities
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on municipal roads, sidewalks, and public infrastructure.
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment, including graders, rollers, and pothole patchers, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Inspect roadways and drainage systems to identify maintenance needs and report findings to supervisors.
- Assist in the installation and repair of traffic signs, signals, and guardrails.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site, adhering to all environmental and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to execute infrastructure projects efficiently and on schedule.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Valid Driverβs License (Class C) with a clean driving record is mandatory.
- Previous experience in public works, construction, or general maintenance is preferred.
- Ability to pass a physical examination and drug screening.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and hand tools.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and flexible hours as needed.
