Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment for road maintenance and construction projects
- Perform preventive maintenance on municipal vehicles and machinery
- Respond to emergency repairs during inclement weather events
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure upgrades
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Support community outreach initiatives for public infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or related field
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems and heavy equipment diagnostics
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
