Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery for road maintenance, snow removal, and drainage projects
- Perform routine inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with city departments during emergency response operations
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and service reports
- Support community outreach initiatives related to public works projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- 2+ years experience in municipal operations or heavy equipment operation
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and lift 50+ lbs
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
