Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including dump trucks, loaders, and graders
- Respond to storm damage emergencies and infrastructure failures
- Install and maintain traffic control devices and signage
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety regulations
- Document work activities and prepare maintenance reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years maintenance experience
- Valid Class B CDL license with air brake endorsement
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment (dump trucks, excavators)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of civil engineering principles
- Strong problem-solving skills and emergency response aptitude
