Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on municipal facilities, roads, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, dump trucks, and street sweepers
- Conduct inspections of public infrastructure and document findings
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests during off-hours
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in public works or construction maintenance
- Valid California Class C driver's license
- Certification in equipment operation (e.g., CDL preferred)
- Knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems and regulations
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in outdoor environments
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
