Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment (street sweepers, dump trucks, graders) for infrastructure projects
- Perform preventative maintenance on municipal vehicles and machinery
- Respond to emergency stormwater and drainage system repairs
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols during all field operations
- Document work activities and maintain accurate equipment logs
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for large-scale projects
- Assist with snow removal and disaster response initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Oklahoma Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment operation experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills for equipment repairs
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance record
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
