Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (street sweepers, dump trucks, graders) for infrastructure maintenance
- Perform preventative repairs on municipal roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Respond to emergency weather-related incidents (snow removal, flood control)
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and safety compliance checks
- Collaborate with engineering teams on public improvement projects
- Maintain accurate work logs and digital reporting systems
Qualifications
- Valid Missouri Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- 2+ years of heavy equipment operation experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree a plus
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Basic knowledge of GIS mapping systems
