Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain municipal equipment (mowers, trucks, etc.)
- Perform routine inspections of public infrastructure
- Execute landscape and grounds maintenance
- Respond to weather-related emergencies (snow, floods)
- Document work activities using digital reporting tools
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- 2+ years equipment operation experience
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Basic computer literacy
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Strong commitment to public service
