Responsibilities
- Design and prototype quantum algorithms for optimization, machine learning, and cryptography applications
- Collaborate with quantum hardware engineers to optimize algorithms for specific quantum architectures
- Develop error mitigation techniques and quantum error correction protocols
- Create benchmarking frameworks to evaluate algorithm performance on quantum processors
- Lead research initiatives in hybrid quantum-classical computing paradigms
- Mentor junior engineers and publish findings in top-tier journals/conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years developing quantum algorithms with proven implementations on real quantum hardware
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and classical optimization tools
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing principles
- Publication record in quantum computing or related fields
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow) for quantum applications
