Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum algorithms for optimization problems in finance, logistics, and AI
- Architect error-corrected quantum processors with >1000 qubit coherence
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Develop quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks for enterprise clients
- Establish industry benchmarks for quantum supremacy applications
- Secure $10M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience in quantum algorithm development or quantum hardware design
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent top-tier journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes and fault tolerance
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Track record of securing government or corporate research funding
