Responsibilities
- Design and prototype scalable quantum processor architectures using superconducting and photonic systems
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum computation beyond NISQ limitations
- Create hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization problems in logistics, drug discovery, and materials science
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers in quantum system integration
- Establish industry standards for quantum security protocols and quantum-safe cryptography
- Secure government and private funding for quantum computing initiatives through technical whitepapers and presentations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Expertise in quantum circuit design using Qiskit, Cirq, or similar frameworks
- Proficiency with cryogenic engineering and microwave control systems
- Track record of commercializing quantum technologies through patents or products
- Experience securing DoD or NSF grants for quantum research programs
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex quantum concepts into stakeholder communications
