Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum computing architectures and error-correction systems
- Develop quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead integration of quantum solutions with classical computing infrastructure
- Collaborate with quantum hardware teams to optimize qubit coherence and gate fidelity
- Research and prototype novel quantum communication protocols
- Mentor junior engineers and publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals
- Present architectural blueprints to C-suite executives and venture partners
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum computing architecture or quantum algorithm development
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing principles
- Proven track record of publishing in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Experience with cloud-based quantum platforms (AWS Braket, IBM Quantum Experience)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex quantum concepts into actionable designs
