Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning problems
- Develop error correction protocols for NISQ-era quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Lead open-source contributions to Qiskit and Cirq frameworks
- Mentor junior researchers and publish 2+ papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Translate theoretical models into practical quantum applications for finance and logistics
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Expertise in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Strong background in Python/C++ with scientific computing libraries
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical projects
