Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant computing architectures
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum machine learning models
- Lead experimental research using superconducting qubit and photonic systems
- Secure research funding through NSF and DOE grant applications
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and publish in Nature/Science journals
- Partner with industry leaders to translate quantum solutions to commercial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Expertise in quantum algorithms, quantum information theory, and many-body physics
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals/conferences
- Proficiency in Python/C++ and quantum simulation frameworks
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems or photonic setups
- Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in commercializing quantum tech
