Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and cryptography applications
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware performance metrics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into classical computing frameworks
- Publish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and present at major quantum conferences
- Secure federal and private funding for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information science principles
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms (IBM, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum machine learning frameworks
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals or conferences
- Proficiency in Python, Qiskit, and quantum simulation software
