Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional teams developing quantum-resistant encryption protocols
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in top-tier journals
- Secure $1M+ in government/industry grants for quantum projects
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Develop proprietary quantum simulation frameworks
- Collaborate with Intel and IBM quantum hardware divisions
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics (quantum focus)
- 5+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or error correction
- Expertise in tensor networks and quantum circuit optimization
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments
- Strong track record of securing research funding
- Experience with quantum annealing systems (D-Wave)
- Clearance for DOE/NASA collaborative projects
