Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experiments with 100+ qubit quantum processors at millikelvin temperatures
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve quantum advantage in commercial applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum architectures
- Publish research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, Physical Review X)
- Secure government and industry grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and present findings to executive stakeholders
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with quantum focus
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Published record in quantum information science or related field
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum control systems
- Experience with cryogenic systems and microwave engineering
- Strong track record of securing research funding (NSF, DoE, industry partners)
