Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum solutions for real-world enterprise challenges
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals/conferences (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Develop error mitigation strategies for near-term quantum processors
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to open-source quantum frameworks
- Secure federal and private research grants targeting 2026 quantum milestones
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or related field (MS with exceptional experience considered)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Published research in quantum error correction or variational algorithms
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Strong track record of securing research funding or industry partnerships
