Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting qubit platforms
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into physical implementations
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grants
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent journals
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum circuit simulation tools
- Experience with low-temperature quantum hardware systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
