Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical industrial applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols on proprietary hardware
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum error correction techniques
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present at major conferences
- Develop patentable quantum computing methodologies for commercial applications
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure federal and private research grants for quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Strong background in machine learning and classical-quantum hybrid systems
- Track record of securing research funding ($500K+ preferred)
