Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum processors operating at 100+ qubit coherence
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using superconducting and photonic platforms
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum architectures for 2026-era applications
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and present at top-tier conferences
- Secure $2M+ in annual research funding through NSF, DARPA, and industry partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction, fault tolerance, and decoherence mitigation
- Proficiency in cryogenic systems and microwave control for superconducting qubits
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical models into practical quantum implementations
