Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop error-corrected qubit systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols
- Develop hybrid classical-quantum software frameworks for enterprise clients
- Secure research funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Present findings at international conferences including IEEE Quantum Week
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency in linear algebra, group theory, and quantum mechanics principles
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Strong Python/C++ programming skills with scientific computing libraries
- Track record of securing research funding or patents
