Responsibilities
- System Management: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of federal IT systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security compliance.
- Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams in the planning, development, and deployment of new software solutions and infrastructure upgrades.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure all systems adhere to federal regulations, including FISMA, NIST, and agency-specific security protocols.
- Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, standard operating procedures, and incident reports.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for technical inquiries from government stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Crisis Management: Respond to and resolve critical system outages with minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT systems analysis, infrastructure management, or a related technical field.
- Certifications: Active Security+ or CISSP certification is highly preferred.
- Government Experience: Proven experience working with federal or state government systems is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), virtualization technologies, and scripting languages (Python/Bash).
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
