Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate theoretical models into functional quantum hardware
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present findings at international conferences
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Collaborate with industry partners to commercialize quantum applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years post-graduate research
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent top-tier journals
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and circuit optimization
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and superconducting qubits
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Demonstrated ability to secure government research funding
- Proficiency in high-performance computing and parallel processing
