Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on public roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, bulldozers, and asphalt pavers
- Assist in construction projects including bridge repairs and park renovations
- Conduct site inspections and prepare detailed progress reports
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and local regulations
- Coordinate with engineering teams for project specifications
- Manage inventory of construction materials and equipment
- Participate in emergency response during natural disasters
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Nevada driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or construction
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite for remote tasks
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
