Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and landscaping for city infrastructure projects
- Operate heavy machinery (bobcats, dump trucks) and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of public facilities and green spaces
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project timelines and resource allocation
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations during all operations
- Document work progress and submit digital reports via remote portal
- Participate in emergency response deployments for weather-related incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in construction, landscaping, or public works
- Valid Class C California Driver's License with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficient in digital reporting tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Fieldwire)
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
