Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, drainage systems, and public facility upkeep
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, dump trucks) with proper safety protocols
- Assist in emergency response during natural disasters or public safety incidents
- Conduct routine inspections of public works sites and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement infrastructure improvement projects
- Maintain accurate project documentation and digital reporting systems
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings through virtual platforms
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with minimum 2 years public works/construction experience
- Valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Proficiency in digital reporting tools and remote collaboration software
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to safety regulations
- Experience with GIS mapping or infrastructure management systems a plus
- Flexible availability including occasional weekend/evening shifts for emergency response
