Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the agency's local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) infrastructure.
- Provide Tier 2 technical support and troubleshooting for remote employees and internal stakeholders.
- Configure, install, and patch operating systems and software applications in compliance with state security protocols.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware and network connectivity issues in real-time.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new technology solutions and digital initiatives.
- Ensure strict adherence to data privacy regulations and government cybersecurity standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support or network administration.
- Valid State of Illinois government employment or security clearance preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and remote desktop tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote work environment.
