Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of city streets, sidewalks, and alleys.
- Operate heavy machinery, including paving equipment, rollers, and jackhammers.
- Apply and spread asphalt and concrete for patching potholes and resurfacing.
- Direct traffic and maintain a safe work zone during road projects.
- Inspect work sites for safety compliance and quality assurance.
- Clean and maintain tools, vehicles, and work equipment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in road maintenance, construction, or related fields.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
- Knowledge of traffic control procedures and safety regulations.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
