Responsibilities
- Perform routine street sweeping, pothole repair, and refuse collection operations.
- Maintain public parks, sidewalks, and municipal facilities to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
- Operate heavy machinery and light equipment safely and efficiently.
- Respond to emergency public service requests and assist in disaster recovery efforts.
- Inspect work sites for safety hazards and report maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with team members to complete daily work orders on schedule.
- Adhere to all city safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to lift, carry, and push objects weighing up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in all weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to public service and community safety.
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical tools and maintenance procedures is a plus.
