Responsibilities
- Operate heavy refuse collection trucks and routes efficiently and safely.
- Collect and deposit household and commercial waste in designated containers.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of collection vehicles and equipment.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols while on the road.
- Inspect routes for missed collections and report issues to supervisors.
- Assist in emergency cleanup operations during severe weather events.
- Communicate effectively with the public and fellow team members.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50+ pounds repeatedly.
- Physical stamina required to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Previous experience in waste management or heavy equipment operation is a plus but not required.
