Responsibilities
- Operate sanitation trucks for residential/commercial waste collection
- Perform manual lifting of heavy containers (up to 50 lbs)
- Conduct route inspections and report infrastructure issues
- Maintain cleanliness of public spaces and designated collection points
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Assist with emergency storm debris removal operations
- Complete daily vehicle inspection and maintenance logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Pennsylvania Commercial Driver's License (Class B)
- Minimum 1 year waste management experience preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment troubleshooting
- Strong commitment to public service and safety standards
