Responsibilities
- Operate Sanitation Vehicles: Safely drive and operate heavy-duty garbage trucks and collection vehicles to collect residential and commercial waste.
- Route Management: Efficiently navigate assigned routes to ensure timely and complete waste collection.
- Manual Labor: Perform manual lifting, loading, and sorting of waste materials into collection containers.
- Maintenance & Safety: Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with residents and businesses regarding collection schedules and waste management.
Qualifications
- Driver's License: Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is highly preferred; we offer training for qualified candidates.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50+ lbs) and stand/walk for extended periods in all weather conditions.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic and ability to work a rotating schedule, including early mornings and weekends.
- Communication: Good verbal communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
