Responsibilities
- Collect residential and commercial waste according to city schedules and safety protocols
- Operate sanitation trucks and specialized refuse collection equipment
- Perform routine maintenance on collection vehicles and tools
- Identify and report hazardous materials or safety concerns
- Assist with snow removal and emergency response duties as needed
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations and waste volume
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Pennsylvania Class C driver's license (CDL preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in all weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Previous sanitation or heavy equipment experience preferred
- Strong commitment to public service and community safety
- Ability to follow strict safety procedures and work independently
