Responsibilities
- Manage and certify all official municipal records including ordinances, resolutions, and meeting minutes
- Oversee public records requests ensuring compliance with PA Sunshine Act and city regulations
- Coordinate City Council meetings including agenda preparation, scheduling, and minute documentation
- Administer oaths of office and notary public services for city officials
- Lead digital records modernization initiatives to enhance accessibility and security
- Serve as primary liaison between citizens, departments, and elected officials for municipal records
- Develop and implement records retention policies aligned with state and federal standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years municipal government or public records management experience
- PA Notary Public certification or ability to obtain within 60 days
- Expertise in records management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, SharePoint)
- Deep understanding of Pennsylvania Sunshine Act and municipal governance laws
- Exceptional written communication skills for legal document preparation
- Proven ability to manage high-volume public records requests
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
