Responsibilities
- Manage and preserve official municipal records, meeting minutes, and legal documents in compliance with state regulations
- Oversee public records requests and ensure timely, accurate responses while maintaining confidentiality standards
- Coordinate city council agendas, prepare official documentation, and support legislative processes
- Lead departmental initiatives for digital record management system optimization
- Serve as primary liaison between citizens, elected officials, and city departments
- Train staff on records management protocols and regulatory compliance
- Implement records retention policies and disaster recovery procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in municipal records management or public sector administration
- Texas Certified Municipal Clerk (TCMC) certification preferred
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and records management software
- Deep knowledge of Texas Public Information Act and open records laws
- Exceptional written communication and public presentation skills
- Proven ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and integrity
