Responsibilities
- Manage official municipal records, ordinances, and meeting minutes with meticulous accuracy
- Oversee public records requests and ensure compliance with state disclosure laws
- Coordinate municipal elections, including voter registration and ballot preparation
- Administer oaths of office and maintain official city documents
- Support City Council meetings through agenda preparation and documentation
- Develop and implement records retention policies
- Serve as primary liaison between citizens and municipal governance processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of municipal government experience with records management
- Deep knowledge of New Mexico public records and open meeting laws
- Professional certification (e.g., Certified Municipal Clerk) preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Advanced proficiency in document management systems
