Responsibilities
- Oversee all municipal records management, document retention, and public information requests in compliance with Colorado Open Records Act
- Manage City Council agendas, minutes, and legislative tracking with precision and timeliness
- Serve as primary liaison for public inquiries, ensuring responsive and accurate communication
- Administer municipal elections, voter registration, and certification processes
- Lead digital transformation of records systems while maintaining archival integrity
- Coordinate interdepartmental compliance for municipal codes and ordinances
- Supervise Clerk's Office staff and implement performance metrics
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years municipal government experience with records management
- Expertise in Colorado Sunshine Law and municipal governance protocols
- Advanced proficiency in records management software (e.g., Laserfiche, OnBase)
- Proven leadership in public sector compliance and audit readiness
- Professional certification (e.g., CRM, MPA) highly desirable
- Exceptional written/verbal communication and stakeholder management skills
