Responsibilities
- Manage and preserve all official municipal records, ordinances, and resolutions with precision
- Coordinate and facilitate City Council meetings, including agenda preparation and minute-taking
- Oversee public records requests and ensure compliance with open records laws
- Administer municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Supervise clerical staff and document management systems
- Serve as primary liaison for public inquiries regarding municipal procedures
- Implement and maintain records retention policies in alignment with state statutes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of municipal government or public sector experience
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Expert knowledge of Oklahoma's Open Records Act and municipal procedures
- Advanced proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Experience supervising administrative teams
