Responsibilities
- Manage and preserve all official city records, ordinances, and minutes in compliance with state regulations
- Oversee municipal election processes including voter registration and ballot coordination
- Provide administrative support to the City Council and Board of Aldermen meetings
- Process public records requests and ensure information accessibility
- Manage business licensing and permit issuance procedures
- Supervise clerk staff and implement records management systems
- Serve as the official custodian of city seals and official documents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or related field
- 5+ years municipal government or records management experience
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Proficiency in records management software and municipal databases
- Deep knowledge of Missouri Sunshine Law and election procedures
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Experience managing public records requests and compliance
