Responsibilities
- Oversee municipal record management including ordinances, resolutions, and archival documentation
- Administer city elections with meticulous attention to compliance and voter accessibility
- Manage public records requests and FOIA compliance with exceptional service standards
- Coordinate City Council meetings, agendas, and legislative documentation
- Lead departmental operations and supervise clerical staff
- Develop and implement records retention policies aligned with state regulations
- Serve as primary liaison between citizens and municipal government departments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years municipal government experience with 2+ in supervisory roles
- Indiana Notary Public certification required
- Expertise in records management systems and election administration
- Advanced knowledge of Indiana open records laws (IC 5-14)
- Exceptional written/verbal communication and public presentation skills
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with strict deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and municipal software systems
