Responsibilities
- Supervise maintenance and preservation of all municipal records, ordinances, and resolutions
- Oversee election administration including voter registration and polling place coordination
- Manage City Council meeting logistics, documentation, and public record requests
- Lead departmental staff in records management, FOIA compliance, and digital archiving
- Serve as primary liaison between City Council, Mayor's Office, and public stakeholders
- Implement digital transformation initiatives for records systems and public access portals
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years municipal government experience with records management leadership
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Illinois Election Administrator Certification preferred
- Expertise in FOIA compliance, records retention policies, and digital archiving
- Advanced proficiency in records management software (e.g., Laserfiche, DocuWare)
- Proven ability to manage high-volume public records requests and sensitive information
- Strong knowledge of Illinois Municipal Code and election regulations
